This photo was taken by our lovely sister, Sarah. Thanks to our family for coming - mum - Lynette, common law brother in law - Craig, dad - Ray, cousin - Bethan & her 2 children, Sophie & Isabelle, uncle - Jeff and psychologist - Neil. The guy in charge, Jason, was great. He's doing a feature on waterstones' staff with their baby photos & their favourite books as kids. He's asked us & Josie to contribute, so we e mailed him a cute baby photo of us aged 6 months. Our mum wouldn't let us send one of us covered in chicken pox. We were so nervous, but had a great time - met Josie & her cool friends. Passers-by were fascinated & kept walking past the window & waving at us. Our reading went a lot better than we expected & we didn't trip over our words. All our practises with our ducks as our audience paid off. We spent 2 days practising a unique signature, complete with fancy font & a pair of wings. We bought posh-looking pens especially.
Darkest Wishes,
C L Raven
You guys were fab. And your family were a great audience too, when there are strangers in the audience it feels special! Hope your ducks aren’t feeling lonely now.

Well done, you three! I've got my reading tomorrow at Huckleberry's Bookshop, along with Emma and Kevin. Wish I had ducks to practise on! Come to think of it, when I did keep ducks backalong, they never stopped clacking and chattering for a minute. How did you get a word in edgeways?

Congratulations all of you! I've been thinking about all the launches and hoping you've all enjoyed them, sorry I haven't been in touch to wish good luck before now but I've been on holiday and therefore offline. Can't wait to get my copy of the book and see it in it's final form!! I think it is a really really brilliant collection.
