As I may have mentioned previously, I'm excited to say we're taking part in a special proposal-themed evening organised by Hackney Libraries on Friday 29th February – that one day every four years when it’s apparently considered acceptable for a woman to propose to a man.
The event is to take place at Stamford Hill Library with doors opening at 6.30pm. It is to feature Legend Press writers Lee Henshaw, author of current hit short novel QUEER FISH IN GOD’S WAITING ROOM, and Jae Watson, author of hugely-popular India-set novel JOURNEY. In addition there will be three Hearing Eye poets – Sara Boyes, Jacqueline Gabbitas and Jo Roach – who’ve produced a wide and eclectic range of poetry and short stories between them.
Hackney Libraries is also to offer the opportunity to explore the current Limited Editions book collection – chosen by the London Libraries Development Association (LLDA) as a selection of the best current books from independent publishers (of which we have two books included - Journey and HERE OR THERE by Rebecca Strong).
Looking forward to it - there will be a mix of everything you could want and, who knows, maybe even a proposal at the end of it. Come along if you're nearby.
Tom
