It has been all go since the fantastic, wonderful, memorable, evocative, powerful, unforgettable, adjective-defying Salt & Honey by Candi Miller was named in the Top Ten Books to Talk About for World Book Day. We've constantly been contacted by bookshops, libraries, media and event organisers, all of whom are realising the gem that is and always has been this amazing novel.
It was also nice to see recently that there is large local support for Candi as well – even the council have got behind her (view here).
So if you haven't already voted since the Top Ten was announced, please do so now. If you don't I will get your council to up your tax, cut your power, and have the borough's rubbish dumped on your doorstep. We have powerful friends now [cue some form of evil laugh].
So, do it, do it now. This book deserves this prize and therefore we must ensure it wins.
