As reported in April, since the beginning for the year I have been speaking to PaperBooks and I'm very pleased to announce that the acquisition has been completed. For at least the initial period, we will be running Paperbooks as a separate company (Paperbooks Publishing Ltd), although it will be run from here at Legend Press's office and will sit into all the infrastructure we've painstakingly built-up over the last three years.
Although in touch, it wasn't really right to speak too much to the Paperbooks authors until complete and I'm now looking forward to making up for lost time and hope to meet them all in person over the next 2-3 weeks. There is a lot of work ahead but it's potentially a very exciting time and I can't wait to continue developing both companies to hopefully many years of a success ahead and to becoming legends of the publishing world.

Hmm . . . I guess not . . .

Will you also be talking to authors who have been kept 'on hold' by PaperBooks while your acquisition negotiations have been going on? As you might have guessed, I'm one of them!

It's all very exciting. I'll be interested to meet the new authors and see their books. Plus it will be fascinating to see whether they are integrated into the Legend brand or remain separate like an imprint.
